Maina is the first village en route to Jhajjar, on the Rohtak-Jhajjar road, situated 5 km from Rohtak. It is governed by the Rohtak district administration. The village is a beautiful village in all aspects. The village has almost zero crime rate and youths are away from drug abuse. In heavy rains it has been observed that water lodging paralyzed surrounding villages but never village Maina. Brotherhood among all communities of village set a lovely example for other villages. Amit Panghal
Subedar Amit Panghal Vishisht Seva Medal (born 16 October 1995) is an Indian Army Junior commissioned officer, Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and an amateur boxer. He won silver medal at the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships in the Flyweight division. Panghal won a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games. Amit Panghal has received top seeding in the 52 kg category. Amit Panghal is the reigning Asian Games champion and a world championships silver-medalist Asian Elite Boxing Championships Panghal failed to defend his gold medal, that he won in 2019, against reigning Olympic and world champion Shakhobidin Zoirov of Uzbekistan to finish second-best in Dubai. Dayachand Mayna
Dayachand Mayna was a poet of Haryanvi language. He is one of the important poets and folklore artists Haryana had ever produced. He was born on 10 March 1915, in a Valmiki caste family in Mayna village of Rohtak district of Haryana (erstwhile Punjab).He produced best of the Haryanvi Saang and Raagni.He wrote a very famous play (Kissa) on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He wrote 21 Kissas(play in Haryanvi) and more than 150 Raagniyaan(poem in Haryanvi). He died on 20 January 1993. Legacy He is regarded as the John Milton of Haryana, his poetry in Haryanvi is not less than Lakhmi Chand. Dighal
Dighal is a village in Beri ''tehsil'' in Jhajjar district of Haryana state in north India. It falls under the Rohtak Division. It is the largest village in terms of population in a single ''panchayat'' in Haryana. The people of the village belong to AHLAWAT gotra In Jats and KAUSHIK In Pandits. It is a prominent village of Ahlawat khap and also serves as the headquarters of the Ahlawat Khap. History The village was established in 1194 by a legend named 'Digha', a Jat of Ahlawat gotra .
