Mayhem (comics)
Mayhem (Brigid O'Reilly) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The character of detective Brigid O'Reilly first appeared in '' Cloak and Dagger'' #1 (Oct. 1983) and was created by Bill Mantlo and Rick Leonardi. She subsequently appeared in issues #2-4 (Nov. 1983-Jan. 1984) of the same series, and issues #1-5 (July 1985-March 1986) of the second ''Cloak and Dagger'' series. In '' Cloak and Dagger'' vol. 2 #5 (March 1986), Brigid underwent a drastic transformation and became known as Mayhem. The company specializes in repairing the property damage caused by conflicts between superheroes and supervillains. Three ''Damage Control'' limited series have been published. The Darkforce is a fictional concept appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Description Darkforce is a powerful, extra-dimensional energy that can be manipulated in slightly different ways by a handful of beings that are attuned to it. There are slight yet inconclusive hints that it may be a corruptive influence of some kind (at least to Cloak, possibly to Darkhawk as well), perhaps even a sentient entity and the opposite of the Lightforce.
