Maxine Fleming
Maxine Fleming is a New Zealand television screenwriter and producer. She was recognised at the Women in Film and Television New Zealand Awards in 2018. Biography Fleming grew up in Thames, and studied journalism at Auckland University of Technology. After graduating, she worked in newsrooms in New Zealand and Australia, and worked at news agency Australian Associated Press. She also wrote and performed for theatre groups and eventually stopped working in journalism to work in theatre. In 1992 Fleming got her first scriptwriting position, on the newly launched television soap opera ''Shortland Street''. She has also written for TV series '' Outrageous Fortune'', ''City Life'', ''Mercy Peak'', and ''The Chosen''. She was head writer on the series ''Interrogation.'' In 2000, Fleming and Gavin Strawhan started working together on a teen television series, ''Being Eve''. Women In Film And Television New Zealand Awards
The Women in Film and Television New Zealand Awards, also known as the WIFT NZ Awards, are a set of awards that celebrate and encourage the achievements of New Zealand women in film, television and digital media. The awards are administered by Women in Film and Television New Zealand, the national chapter of Women in Film and Television International, and have been awarded since 2004. The awards were initially made in four categories; additional categories have been added and as of 2022 the awards are made in 11 categories. The awards were also initially presented annually and are now presented biennially. No awards were made in 2012. Nominations are invited from the public. ''Burying Brian'' is a New Zealand television miniseries produced by Eyeworks Touchdown which premiered on Television New Zealand's TVNZ 1, TV One on 2 July 2008, and ran for 6 episodes. The series is about Jodie and her three female friends. At the beginning of the first episode, Jodie's husband Brian dies during a domestic dispute. Jodie believes that she may go to jail for his murder, but her friends convince her not to report the death, but instead to bury the body and make it appear that he has run off with another woman. Although the series was a ratings success, no further episodes were made after the first season. Vanessa Alexander is an Australian, New Zealand and British screenwriter, director and producer best known for writing on '' Vikings: Valhalla'' and ''The Great''. Early life and education Alexander was born in New York to a New Zealand father and English mother. She grew up in Laguna Beach, California before relocating to Oamaru, New Zealand in her teens. The 58th Annual TV Week Logie Awards were held on Sunday 8 May 2016 at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, and broadcast live on the Nine Network. Public voting for the Best Award categories began on 16 November 2015, and ended on 17 January 2016. Nominations were announced on 3 April 2016, along with the winners of the Outstanding Newcomer Awards. It was announced on 4 November 2015, that the 2016 Logie Awards would reinstate the Logie Award for Best Factual Program, as well as a new publicly voted category for Best News Panel or a Current Affairs Program. Two new industry-voted awards were also given, Logie Award for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress. ''Agent Anna'' is a New Zealand comedy-drama television series, created by Maxine Fleming with Vanessa Alexander and devised by Robyn Malcolm. It is produced by Great Southern Film and Television and funded by NZ on Air and Television New Zealand. It began airing its first series of six episodes in New Zealand on 31 January 2013. NZ on Air announced on 12 August 2013 that the show received funding for a second series of 10 episodes. The N (standing for Noggin) was a nighttime programming block on the Noggin television channel, aimed at preteens and teenagers. It was launched on April 1, 2002, by Viacom and Sesame Workshop. Before the block's introduction, Noggin's daytime lineup included tween shows such as ''A Walk in Your Shoes'', ''Sponk!'', and '' Big Kids''. In 2002, Noggin restructured its daytime lineup to cater to preschool children. Its shows targeted to older children moved to The N, joining several syndicated shows from Viacom and Sesame's libraries. Thames () ( mi, Pārāwai) is a town at the southwestern end of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island. It is located on the Firth of Thames close to the mouth of the Waihou River. The town is the seat of the Thames-Coromandel (district), New Zealand, Thames-Coromandel District Council.
