Maxence Flachez
Maxence Flachez (born 5 August 1972) is a French former professional footballer who played as a central defender, and is a manager. Football career Born in Grenoble, Flachez made his professional – and Ligue 1 – debut for Olympique Lyonnais on 29 August 1992 (aged 20), in a 2–2 home draw against Olympique de Marseille. Ironically, after gaining more experience he appeared less for the first team, eventually leaving in the summer of 1995. After one year in FC Martigues, Flachez joined FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, where he would remain for eight straight seasons always as an undisputed starter (four years apiece in the top flight and Ligue 2), playing more than 300 competitive matches. Coupe De La Ligue
The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Football in France, French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The tournament was established in 1993 and, unlike the Coupe de France, was only open to professional clubs in France which play in country's French football league system, top three football divisions, though the Championnat National, third is not fully professional. The most successful team in the competition was Paris Saint-Germain F.C., Paris Saint-Germain with nine wins, including the last edition in 2019–20 Coupe de la Ligue, 2019–20. Philippe Anziani (born 21 September 1961) is a French former football striker and manager. In 2019, he became manager of the Olympique de Marseille reserves in the fourth tier. Rémi Garde
Rémi Garde (, born 3 April 1966) is a French former professional footballer. He was most recently the head coach of Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer. He played as a defender and defensive midfielder, spending most of his career with his first club Lyon, with whom he won the 1988–89 French Division 2. In 1993, he moved to Strasbourg, reaching the Coupe de France final and winning the UEFA Intertoto Cup in his second season. He joined Arsenal in 1996, where he won the 1997–98 FA Premier League before retiring through injury a year later. Garde was capped by the France national team, featuring in their squad at UEFA Euro 1992. Upon retirement as a player, he worked as a coach and assistant manager at Lyon, before taking the managerial position there in 2011. The 2008–09 Ligue 1 season was the 71st since its establishment. Bordeaux became champions for the sixth time on the last weekend of the season. The fixtures were announced on 23 May 2008. The season began on 9 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. A total of 20 teams contested the league, consisting of 17 who competed the previous season and three that were promoted from France's second division Ligue 2. Bordeaux consecutively won their last 11 league games of the season and clinched the title on 30 May 2009 after the 1–0 victory against Caen. This was Bordeaux's sixth title and their first since the 1998–99 season. The Ligue 2 season 2007–08 was the sixty-sixth since its establishment, and started in August 2007. The fixtures were announced in June 2007. FC Metz, the champions of Ligue 2, SM Caen, and RC Strasbourg were promoted to France's top division Ligue 1. Whereas, Troyes AC, CS Sedan, and FC Nantes were relegated to Ligue 2. The first matches of the season were played on 27 July 2007, and the season ended on 16 May 2008. The new Ligue 2 champions were crowned on 2 May 2008 when Le Havre AC drew with Montpellier HSC following FC Nantes's loss to Amiens SC that same day. As champions, Le Havre will be promoted to France's highest football division Ligue 1 for the upcoming 2008-09 season. For finishing in 2nd place and 3rd, both FC Nantes and Grenoble Foot 38 achieved promotion as well.
