Max McLean
Max McLean (born April 14, 1953) is a Panamanian-born American stage actor, writer, and producer. He is the founder and artistic director of the Fellowship for Performing Arts, a New York City-based company that produces live theater and film from a Christian worldview. McLean is known for his stage adaptations of books by author and theologian C. S. Lewis. Some of McLean's adaptations include ''The Screwtape Letters'' (written with Jeffrey Fiske), '' The Great Divorce'' (written with Brian Watkins), and ''C.S. Lewis Onstage: The Most Reluctant Convert'' (based on '' Surprised by Joy''). ''C.S. Lewis Onstage'' was adapted into a film, '' The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis'', which starred McLean as an older Lewis, was released in 2021. Tim Challies (born 1976) is a Canadian Reformed Baptist theologian, pastor, blogger, and author. Career In 2003, Challies started a blog on theology, book reviews, and social commentary. Audio Bibles or spoken Bibles are Bibles that were recorded in audio format. They provide the listener the ability to listen to the Scriptures without being required to look directly at written text. History The first audio Bible (KJV in English language) was recorded and narrated by Alexander Scourby in the 1950s for the American Foundation of the Blind. It was first recorded on long play records, then 8-track player, cassette tape. The Bible in cassette tape was 72-hours long, and it took 72 cassette tapes to record the entire audio Bible. The English Standard Version (ESV) is an English translation of the Bible. Published in 2001 by Crossway, the ESV was "created by a team of more than 100 leading evangelical scholars and pastors."
