Maurizio Marchetto
Maurizio Marchetto (born February 13, 1956) is a former ice speed skater from Italy, who represented his native country in three consecutive Winter Olympics, starting in 1976 in Innsbruck, Austria. After his active career Marchetto has been coach for the Italian speed skating team, having success with skaters like Roberto Sighel (world champion 1994) and Enrico Fabris (olympic champion 2006). From 2009/2010, he is also coach for Russian speed skater Ivan Skobrev and for French speed skater Alexis Contin Alexis Contin (born 19 October 1986) is a French speed skater. Ivan Aleksandrovich Skobrev (russian: Иван Александрович Скобрев; born 8 February 1983 in Khabarovsk) is a Russian speed skater. Career At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he won the bronze medal in the 5000 meters as well as the silver medal in the 10000 meters. He is the 2011 European and World Allround Champion. Alexis Contin (born 19 October 1986) is a French speed skater. He is ranked 63 on the Adelskalender and is coached by Jan van Veen. Contin made his international speedskating debut at the Speed Skating World Cup in December 2005. In January 2007 he competed at an international allround tournament for the first time, finishing 17th at the European Championships held at Collalbo. Enrico Fabris
Enrico Fabris (born 5 October 1981) is an Italian former long track speed skater who has won three World Cup races and became the first European Allround Champion from Italy when he won the 2006 European Championships one month before the Winter Olympics in Turin. In 2007 he won also the silver medal and in 2008 the bronze medal. Fabris is also a six-time Italian Allround Champion. Career At the 2006 Olympics he won a bronze medal in the men's 5,000 m event, Italy's first-ever Olympic medal in speed skating.
