Maurice Euzennat
Maurice Euzennat (15 Novembre 1926 – 25 July 2004) was a French historian and archaeologist. Career After he passed his agrégation in history and resided at the école française de Rome between 1951 and 1954, Maurice Euzennat made a part of his career in Morocco. Back in 1963, he created a French department of underwater archeology and activated the ship ''Archéonaute''. Maurice Euzennat worked on the history and civilization of ancient Rome, North Africa during Antiquity and also Gallia Narbonensis. He led excavations including one on the archaeological site of Volubilis Volubilis (; ar, وليلي, walīlī; ber, ⵡⵍⵉⵍⵉ, wlili) is a partly excavated Berber-Roman city in Morocco situated near the city of Meknes, and may have been the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania, at least from the time of Kin .... Mont-Saint-Aignan
Mont-Saint-Aignan () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the region of Normandy, northwestern France. The inhabitants of the town of Mont-Saint-Aignan are called ''Mont-Saint-Aignanais'' in French. Due to the presence of higher education institutions (notably the University of Rouen and the NEOMA Business School) and the city's relatively small population, Mont-Saint-Aignan is considered the French city that has the largest proportion of students relative to its population (students represented in 2014 25,61% of the total population). Hanno The Navigator
Hanno the Navigator (sometimes "Hannon"; xpu, 𐤇𐤍𐤀 , ; ) was a Carthaginian explorer of the fifth century BC, best known for his naval exploration of the western coast of Africa. The only source of his voyage is a ''periplus'' translated into Greek. He has sometimes been identified as a king. Historians have attempted to identify places on Hanno's route based on the ''periplus''. According to some modern analyses of his route, Hanno's expedition could have reached as far south as Gabon; however, according to others, it could not have taken him further than southern Morocco. Biography The name Hanno was given to many other Carthaginians. Ancient authors who discussed Hanno the Navigator did not provide direct information to identify him exactly. Some called him king, and others used the Latin words ''dux'' (leader or general) or '' imperator'' (commander or emperor)..
