Matías Osadczuk
Matías Osadczuk (born 22 April 1997) is an Argentine rugby union player. He tore a knee ligament against Australia at the 2017 Hong Kong Sevens tournament and required surgery before he returned to competitive action at the 2018 Sydney Sevens tournament. He won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. He was named in the Argentina squad for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Rugby Sevens At The 2019 Pan American Games
Rugby sevens at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru was held from July 26th to 28th. The venue for the competition is the rugby sevens stadium located at the Villa María del Triunfo cluster. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams (each consisting up to 12 athletes) competed in each tournament. This means a total of 192 athletes were scheduled to compete. 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens
The 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens was the eighth edition of the Rugby World Cup Sevens organised by World Rugby. The 2022 tournament, comprising 24 men's and 16 women's teams as previously, was played over three days in one venue in September. It took place at the Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa between 9 and 11 September 2022. It was the first ever Rugby World Cup Sevens in Africa. The dates were chosen to take into account in the Commonwealth Games tournament which took place in July the same year. Bidding A record 11 unions formally expressed interest in hosting Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022. The unions were issued formal bid application documents by World Rugby and had to submit their responses by 16 July 2019.
