Mattie Pollock
Mattie William Pollock (born 28 September 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Watford. Pollock was the product of the youth academies of Middlesbrough and Leeds United before joining Grimsby Town's academy in 2018. He later signed full professional terms with Grimsby and went on to make 46 league appearances for the club before signing for Watford in 2021. He has since spent time on loan with Cheltenham Town. Early life Born in Redhill, Pollock was brought up in Middlesbrough, where he attended the Nunthorpe Academy. Career Pollock was a trainee with Leeds United up until under-15 level, where he was considered a midfielder. Ben Pollock (born 6 January 1998) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Spennymoor Town. Career Pollock spent his youth with Middlesbrough, Leeds United, and Newcastle United, before he signed his first professional contract with Hartlepool United in May 2016, following a successful trial spell. He made his senior debut in a 1–0 defeat to Sunderland U23 in an EFL Trophy group match at Victoria Park on 4 October 2016. Jamie Pollock (born 16 February 1974) is an English former football club chairman, manager and professional player. As a player he was a midfielder from 1990 to 2002. He played Premier League football for Middlesbrough, Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City. He also more than 300 appearances in the Football League also appearing for Crystal Palace and Birmingham City as well as a short spell in La Liga with CA Osasuna. Michael James Duff (born 11 January 1978) is a Belfast born football manager and former Burnley player who is currently manager of Barnsley. In a career spanning from 1995 to 2016, in which he made over 700 appearances, he played as a defender for Carterton Town, Cheltenham Town, Cirencester Town (on loan) and Burnley. At international level, Duff earned 24 caps for Northern Ireland. From 2018 to 2022, he was the manager of club Cheltenham Town, having previously managed the Burnley reserves for two years.
