Matteo Mancosu (born 22 December 1984) is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward. A right-footed player, although he is usually deployed in the centre as a main striker, he is also capable of playing as a winger on either flank. Club career Atletico Elmas and Atletico Calcio Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, Mancosu played in the youth team of the ''Scuola Calcio Johannes'' of Cagliari, and while he was not able to pass any of several trials with Cagliari, the main Sardinian football team, he managed to break into the squad of the Atletico Elmas in Serie D. Mancosu played 4 seasons in Serie D with Atletico Elmas, which was renamed Atletico Calcio in 2002, scoring 7 goals in 73 matches. Lega Pro Prima Divisione
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. The reform, already decided by the FIGC led to the reunification with the second division starting from 2014-2015 and with the subsequent rebirth of the third division championship organized by the pro league with 60 teams divided into three groups of 20 in Lega Pro. Marcello Mancosu (born 15 April 1992) is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward for Tuttocuoio. Career Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, Mancosu started his career at Cagliari Calcio, where his elder brother Matteo was a member of the first team in 2007–08 season. Mancosu was a player for their under–17 team in 2008–09 season. He only able to play once for Cagliari's reserves in the next season, on 27 February 2010 (round 18). Mancosu left for amateur club Selargius in 2010, where he played seasons in the fifth tier. On 31 January 2014 Mancosu was signed by fellow Sardinian club Trapani. However, he was immediately farmed to Lega Pro Prima Divisione from the Serie B club, unable to play along with his eldest brother Matteo who was a member of Trapani's first team (until January 2015).
