Matt Stefanishion
Matt Stefanishion (born October 5, 1983) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right wing. Early life Stefanishion was born in Daysland, Alberta, Canada. After playing two seasons in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Melville Millionaires, Stefanishion entered Ferris State University. He played two seasons with the Bulldogs, being named as an honourable mention to the CCHA All-Rookie Team in the 2004–05 season. Career Stefanishion was not selected in the NHL Entry Draft; however, he was signed to a two-year contract by the Washington Capitals on April 1, 2006. Stony Plain Eagles
The Stony Plain Eagles are a senior ice hockey team based in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada. Founded in the 1930s, the team moved up to the Senior AAA ranks in 1992. They played in the Allan Cup Hockey West until 2020. The Eagles were the 1999 Allan Cup National Senior champions of Canada. History In 1987, the Eagles would win both the Alberta and Western Canada Intermediate "A" Championship, but lost the Hardy Cup Intermediate National Championship in straight games to Miramichi Gagnon Packers. From 1992 until 2003, the Eagles captured twelve consecutive Alberta Senior AAA Provincial Championships, reaching six Allan Cup finals in that time. Central Collegiate Hockey Association
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Half of its members are located in the state of Michigan, with additional members in Minnesota and Ohio. It has also had teams located in Alaska, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Nebraska over the course of its existence. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
