Matthew Levon Sallee (born February 11, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter. He is known for being the vocal bass of the a cappella group Pentatonix. Sallee is the newest member of the group, replacing Avi Kaplan after his departure in 2017. Early life and education Matthew Levon Sallee was born on February 11, 1994 in Baltimore, Maryland. Pentatonix (abbreviated PTX) is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, currently consisting of vocalists Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. Kevin Oluwole Olusola, also known as K.O., (born October 5, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, beatboxer, and cellist. Olusola is best known as the beatboxer of the a cappella group Pentatonix. After the group won NBC's ''The Sing-Off'' in 2011, they released eleven albums, which have sold over 2 million records, and have amassed more than two billion views on their YouTube channel. Olusola has also been identified as developing the art of "celloboxing" (playing cello and beatboxing simultaneously).
