Matt Hendrix
James Matthew Hendrix (born January 22, 1981) is an American professional golfer who plays on the Web.com Tour and played as a member of the PGA Tour during the 2007 season. Amateur career Hendrix was born in Aiken, South Carolina. He qualified for the 1997 U.S. Junior Amateur, was the top rated junior golfer in South Carolina, and won the 2003 Sunnehanna Amateur. He played on the 2003 Walker Cup team. He played college golf at Clemson University and was a member of the team that won the 2003 NCAA Championship and Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. Professional career Hendrix turned professional in 2004. He finished T29 at the 2006 Q School, earning his PGA Tour card for the 2007 season. He did not finish high enough on the money list to retain his PGA Tour card past the 2007 season. Hendrix spent the 2006, 2011, and 2012 seasons on the Nationwide Tour. Aiken, South Carolina
Aiken is the largest city in, and the county seat of, Aiken County, in western South Carolina. It is one of the two largest cities of the Central Savannah River Area. Founded in 1835, Aiken was named after William Aiken, the president of the South Carolina Railroad. It became part of Aiken County when the county was formed in 1871 from parts of Orangeburg, Lexington, Edgefield, and Barnwell counties. Aiken is home to the University of South Carolina Aiken. According to 2020 census, the population was 32,025. The National Civic League gave Aiken the All-America City Award in 1997. Aiken was also named "best small town of the South" by Southern Living. The 2012 Web.com Tour was the 23rd Web.com Tour season. It ran from February 16 to October 28. The season consisted of 27 official money golf tournaments; four of which are played outside of the United States. The top 25 players on the year-end money list earned their PGA Tour card for 2013. The Walker Cup is a golf trophy contested in odd-numbered years by leading male amateur golfers in two teams: United States, and Great Britain and Ireland. The official name is the Walker Cup Match (not "Matches" as in Ryder Cup Matches). It is organised by The R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA). In 1921 the Royal Liverpool Golf Club hosted an unofficial contest which was followed by official annual contests from 1922 through 1924. From 1925 they became biennial, held on even-number years. After World War II they switched to odd-numbered years. They are held alternately in the U.S., and Ireland or Britain. 2013 EGolf Professional Tour
The eGolf Professional Tour, formerly the Tarheel Tour, was a third-level men's professional golf tour based in Charlotte, North Carolina with about twenty tournaments conducted annually in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. The Tarheel Tour was founded in 2002 by Paul Wortham and David Siegel. It was purchased by Five Oaks Capital in August 2008 and renamed the eGolf Professional Tour the following year. In August 2015, the eGolf Tour was bought by Golf Interact and was integrated into the Swing Thought Tour. As a development tour, the eGolf Professional Tour was designed to be a stepping stone for players trying to ascend to higher level tours.
