2013 EGolf Professional Tour
The eGolf Professional Tour, formerly the Tarheel Tour, was a third-level men's professional golf tour based in Charlotte, North Carolina with about twenty tournaments conducted annually in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. The Tarheel Tour was founded in 2002 by Paul Wortham and David Siegel. It was purchased by Five Oaks Capital in August 2008 and renamed the eGolf Professional Tour the following year. In August 2015, the eGolf Tour was bought by Golf Interact and was integrated into the Swing Thought Tour. As a development tour, the eGolf Professional Tour was designed to be a stepping stone for players trying to ascend to higher level tours. Professional golf tours are the means by which otherwise unconnected professional golf tournaments are organised into a regular schedule. There are separate tours for men and women; most are based in a specific geographical region, although some tours may hold tournaments in other parts of the world. At least 95% of professional golfers make their primary income as club or teaching professionals rather than from competition. A small elite in the profession who obtain income from prize money and endorsements are called "touring professionals", "tournament golfers", or "pro golfers". Roberto Castro
Roberto Castro (born June 23, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Castro played college golf at Georgia Tech. While at Georgia Tech, he was named first-team All-American in 2005, second-team All-American in 2007 and honorable mention All-American in 2004 and 2006. He was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team every year during his four years at Georgia Tech and was named ACC Rookie of the Year in 2004. He won one collegiate event, the 2007 Puerto Rico Classic. He won the 2007 Byron Nelson Award which is given to the nation's top senior golfer. Scott Brown (born May 22, 1983) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Brown attended the University of South Carolina Aiken, playing at Division II level collegiate golf. He turned professional in 2006, and begun playing mini-tours. He played on the NGA Hooters Tour from 2007 to 2009 and finished on top of the eGolf Professional Tour money list in 2009, with three wins. Drew Weaver
Drew Weaver (born May 18, 1987) is an American professional golfer. Weaver was born in High Point, North Carolina. He grew up playing at nearby Willow Creek Country Club. He won the 2007 Amateur Championship with a 2 & 1 victory over Australian Tim Stewart. Weaver played college golf at Virginia Tech. He began competing in professional tournaments shortly after graduating in 2009. He made his first cut in a major at the 2009 U.S. Open where he finished tied for 40th.
