Matt Gregg
Matthew Stephen Gregg (born 30 November 1978) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He now runs a goalkeeper coaching school in Ireland. Playing career Gregg played cricket for Gloucestershire up to under-16 level before deciding to concentrate on his football career. He played for Gloucester Primary Schools alongside future Torquay United teammate Wayne Thomas. He began his senior career as an apprentice with Torquay United, making his debut while still aged only 16 in the 1–1 draw with Wigan Athletic on 16 September 1995. He then returned to the reserves and his apprenticeship, appearing once more, in the last match of the 1996–97 season away to Doncaster Rovers, before turning professional in July 1997. He played another 30 times for Torquay, including the 1997–98 play-off final due to regular keeper Ken Veysey being suspended, before moving to Crystal Palace in October 1998 for a fee of £400,000. 2009 League Of Ireland Cup
The 2009 EA Sports Cup is the 36th staging of the League of Ireland football knockout competition. Twenty nine clubs participated in this year's competition. The ten Premier Division, twelve First Division and the five non-reserve teams from the A Championship were joined by Kildrum Tigers, the 2008 Ulster Senior League champions, and the Kerry District League representative side. For the Preliminary, First and Second Rounds of the competition, all participating clubs were split into 4 regional pools with the further rounds of the competition having an open draw. League Of Ireland Cup
The League of Ireland Cup ( ga, Corn Sraithe na hÉireann), also referred to in Ireland as the 'League Cup', is an annual knockout competition in men's football in the Republic of Ireland. It is contested by League of Ireland clubs and invited clubs from the lower levels of the Republic of Ireland football league system. It has been sponsored by Electronic Arts and branded the EA Sports Cup since 2009. The competition began in 1973–74, replacing the League of Ireland Shield and the Dublin City Cup. It has had several formats since its inception and has been a knock-out competition since 2005. As there is no European qualification for winners of the League of Ireland Cup, it has a lower status than the FAI Cup and is therefore seen as the third most important trophy in the Irish playing season. The 2009 League of Ireland Premier Division was the 25th season of the League of Ireland Premier Division. The division was made up of 10 teams. Each team played every other team four times, totalling 36 matches. The League of Ireland ( ga, Sraith na hÉireann), together with the Football Association of Ireland, is one of the two main governing bodies responsible for organising association football in the Republic of Ireland. The term was originally used to refer to a single division league. Brian Edward Murphy (born 7 May 1983) is a retired Irish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Murphy began his career at English side Manchester City. He spent spells out on loan at Oldham Athletic and Peterborough United but did not make a senior appearance at Manchester City before leaving to join Swansea City in 2003. He spent three seasons at Swansea before returning to his native Ireland to join Bohemian where he spent another three years. In November 2009 he returned to England to join Ipswich Town, where he spent two seasons before joining Queens Park Rangers in 2011. Selhurst Park is a football stadium in Selhurst in the London Borough of Croydon which is the home ground of Premier League side Crystal Palace. The stadium was designed by Archibald Leitch and opened in 1924.
