Kenjiro Matsuki
was a Japanese baseball first baseman and manager. He played for the Osaka/Hanshin Tigers from 1936 until 1941, when he was drafted into World War II. He returned as a player-manager, a role he possessed in 1940 and 1941, for 1950 and 1951. He served as a non-playing manager of the Tigers from 1952 until 1954, the Daiei Stars/Unions for 1956 and 1957, and the Toei Flyers for 1969 and 1970. He was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1978. Early life Matsuki was born on January 22, 1909 in Tsuruga, Fukui. He attended Meiji University and played baseball there. While on the university's team, he played against American universities. Playing career Prior to playing professionally, he played in industrial leagues. Kenko Matsuki
is a Japanese politician and a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. Overview A native of Sapporo, Hokkaidō and graduate of Aoyama Gakuin University, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2003 after unsuccessful runs in 1996 and 2000. In 2010, Matsuki was expelled from the Democratic Party of Japan for voting in favor of a no-confidence motion in then-Prime Minister Naoto Kan. He was expelled from the party the same day and served the rest of the term as an independent. He ran for reelection in 2012 and 2013 as a member of the New Party Daichi, but lost. In 2014 he ran as a candidate of the Japan Innovation Party and gained a Diet seat through the Hokkaido proportional representation block. Samizu Matsuki
Samizu Matsuki (March 16, 1936 – August 4, 2018) was a Japanese artist and educator. She won the Gold Medal at the 1970 First New York International Art Show, the Grand Prix at the 1971 Locust Valley Art Show on Long Island, New York, and the Award of Excellence at the Abraham & Straus-Hempstead Art Show, "Long Island Art '74" for her explorations of Classical Realism. Zhao Dayu (; 17 January 1961 – 18 March 2015), also known as , was a Chinese coach, businessman and a former international football striker. He was a naturalized citizen of Japan. As a footballer he played his whole career for Guangzhou F.C., where he was Nicknamed "Dwarf Tiger" because of his short sature, while internationally he was called up to the Chinese national team, where he took part in the 1984 Asian Cup. He had to retire early in 1986 due to injury and moved to Japan to become the coach of Mitsubishi Motors F.C. youth team in 1988. Matsuki Miyazaki
was a Japanese medical doctor, the director of the Kyushu Sanatorium (Kikuchi Keifuen Sanatorium) (1934–1958) in Kumamoto, Japan. He studied war and leprosy and found that stress was a great factor in the development of leprosy. He later established a leprosy center belonging to Japan Leprosy Mission of Asia, in India. He died in the Japan Airlines Flight 471 airplane accident in 1972. Life Early life He was born in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture in 1900.
