Mats RÃ¥dberg
Mats Rådberg (8 June 1948 – 27 June 2020) was a Swedish country music, country singer, guitarist, composer and architect scoring several chart successes in Sweden during the 1970s/80s. He is well known for working together with the country banRankarnaunder the name ''Mats Rådberg & Rankarna''. He also participated at Melodifestivalen 1977 with the song "Du och jag och sommaren", written by Tomas Ledin, which ended up 10th. Rådberg also acted as a background singer behind Chips (band), Chips at Melodifestivalen 1980. In 1980, he released the album ''I'm the Singer, You're the Song'' together with Elisabeth Andreassen, Elisabeth Andreasson, and in 1983 he scored a hit with the song ''Peta in en pinne i brasan'', a Swedish-language version of Shel Silverstein's ''Put Another Log on the Fire''. ''Sommarkrysset'' (; "The Summer Cross") is a Swedish television program that is broadcast live from the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm during the summer. It was first shown on 3 June 2005. The TV show became famous for their early bookings of music artists such as Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Jason Mraz, Ava Max who later went on to gain global success. The program consists of live performances by famous artists in front of a live audience while viewers can call in and win a certain amount of money. Chips (band)
Chips was a Swedish country group formed in Sweden in 1979. History Chips finished 4th in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1980 with the song " Mycke' mycke' mer", with Lars Westman, Lisa Magnusson, Mats Rådberg and Monica Silverstrand (back then Barwén) as background singers. After Melodifestivalen 1980, Johansson also became a member. In 1980, the album ''Chips'' was released and shortly after this, Elisabeth Andreasson became a member. Just some weeks after this, they toured the former West Germany. Under a new name ''Sweets 'n Chips'', which they used since a dansband also said they owned the right for the name Chips, the group competed at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, and finished second with the song " God morgon". Elisabeth Andreassen
Elisabeth Gunilla Andreassen (; born 28 March 1958), also known as just Bettan, is a Norwegian-Swedish singer who has finished both first and second in the Eurovision Song Contest. Career Her talent was discovered in 1979 by Swedish musician and TV host Lasse Holm. She was produced by Bert Karlsson's label Mariann Grammofon AB. In 1980, she joined Lasse's group Chips. Chips participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 with the song "Dag efter dag" ("''Day After Day''"), and reached 8th place. Andreassen is active in many musical genres such as country, schlager, and musicals. Sweden selected their entry for ESC 1977 in the show "Melodifestivalen 1977". The winner was the song "Beatles" by a group called Forbes. It was a tribute to the rock band The Beatles, who had split up some years earlier, and was written by Sven-Olof Bagge and Claes Bure. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1977 Melodifestivalen 1977 was the selection for the 17th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Sweden did not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 due to the potential expenses if Sweden had won the contest again and due to demonstrations against commercial music. Tomas Folke Jonas Ledin (; born 25 February 1952) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He grew up in the town of Sandviken, Sweden and has sold 3 million records. Career Tomas Ledin started his career in 1972 when his first single, "Då ska jag spela", was a big hit. Other successful songs followed: "Blå, blå känslor" (1973), (covered by Björn Skifs), "Knivhuggarrock" (1975), "Festen har börjat" (1976), and "I natt är jag din" (1977). At the beginning of the 70s, Ledin was influenced by hippie fashion and demonstrated against the Vietnam war. He also took part in a Swedish stage production of the musical ''Godspell'' in 1975 and performed in 140 concerts in the Swedish folkparks in 1977. Sheldon Allan Silverstein (; September 25, 1930 – May 10, 1999) was an American writer, poet, cartoonist, singer / songwriter, musician, and playwright. Born and raised in Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, Silverstein briefly attended university before being drafted into the United States Army. Though perhaps best known for his children's books, Silverstein did not limit his audience to children.
