Matinkylä
Matinkylä (; sv, Mattby, ; both literally translated the "village of Matt/ Matti") is one of the major districts of Espoo, a city on the southern coast of Finland. Matinkylä sits between the Länsiväylä highway and the coast of the Gulf of Finland, between the areas of Haukilahti and Iivisniemi. The middle part of Matinkylä consists of high apartment buildings, whereas the southern part consists of terraced houses and shorter apartment buildings. There are also some detached houses and paired houses in the area. Iirislahti in eastern Matinkylä, as well as Nuottalahti, Nuottaniemi and Koukkuniemi in southern Matinkylä consist of smaller houses. Matinkylä also has a marine area with many islands, such as Iso Vasikkasaari and Miessaari. Länsimetro
Länsimetro (English: Western Metro, Swedish: Västmetron) is an extension to the Helsinki Metro system in Finland. The grand opening for the long-awaited extension was held on 18 November 2017. Länsimetro extends the system's two lines, M1 and M2, from Central Helsinki to the neighbouring city of Espoo. The new stretch continues the lines from the existing Ruoholahti station via the island of Lauttasaari, the Aalto University Otaniemi campus and Tapiola, the terminus of line M2. Line M1 continues further west to Matinkylä. Unlike previous extensions to the Helsinki Metro system, Länsimetro runs entirely underground. Espoo

Matinkylä ( Finnish) or Mattby ( Swedish) is an underground station of the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro. Haukilahti
Haukilahti ( sv, link=no, Gäddvik) is a neighbourhood in Espoo, Finland. It is located on the seashore of the Gulf of Finland in the southern part of the city. Haukilahti is quiet and has many forested areas and parks. Right across the road from the main residential area is the Toppelund forest, beyond which lies the seashore. The Finnish language, Finnish name "Haukilahti" and the Swedish language, Swedish name "Gäddvik" both translate to "bay of esox, pikes", referring to the narrow bay at the mouth of the Gräsaån stream. The modern history of Haukilahti starts from the 16th century, but most of the development to its current state happened in the decades after World War II, when many new detached houses and apartment buildings were built in the area. Iso Omena (Finnish for "Big Apple") is a shopping centre in Matinkylä, Espoo, Finland, opened on September 24, 2001. Olari (Finnish) or Olars (Swedish) is a district of the city of Espoo, Finland. Olari is located about 15 kilometres west of central Helsinki, north of the Länsiväylä highway and Matinkylä. The district has a population of about 15,000. The district is famous for its contribution to the Finnish rap culture. Iso Vasikkasaari
Iso Vasikkasaari is one of the outdoor islands in Espoo, Finland. It is located about a kilometre east-southeast from the Nuottaniemi boat harbour in Matinkylä. The island is officially part of Matinkylä, the shortest distance between the island and the continent is less than half a kilometre. A distinctive feature of the island is its local nomenclature related to ancient Greece. Geography The surface area of Iso Vasikkasaari is about 24 hectares. Except for a private property lot at its northwestern corner, the island is a public outdoor area. The northern part of the island is quite cultured, while the southern part is mostly natural. The nature on the island is quite vivid. Its coast is surrounded by grass and meadows. Länsiväylä
Länsiväylä (the Western Highway, Swedish: Västerleden) is a motorway in the Greater Helsinki area of Finland, mainly at the Helsinki conurbation. It is part of the Finnish national road 51. The road begins in Ruoholahti in western Helsinki and continues west through the island of Lauttasaari and then across the city border to Espoo. The Länsiväylä road continues all the way throughout the southern part of Espoo. It continues as a motorway until finally crossing the border west to Kirkkonummi.
