Mathieu Carle
Louis Philippe Mathieu Carle (born September 30, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Montreal Canadiens. Carle was selected by the Canadiens in the second round, 53rd overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional, Carle played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Acadie–Bathurst Titan and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Playing career As a youth, Carle played in the 2001 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Gatineau, Quebec. QMJHL Carle was drafted in the first round, 14th overall, by the Acadie–Bathurst Titan in the 2003 QMJHL Draft. After the 2003–04 season, Carle was named to the QMJHL Rookie All-Star Team. Matthew Carle (born September 25, 1984) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. Carle played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators. He was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the second round, 47th overall, in 2003. Prior to turning professional, Carle played for the University of Denver where he was named NCAA Defenseman of the Year, NCAA All-American Team (West), First All-WCHA Team, USCHO First Team All American, and First Team All American. Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament
The Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament (french: Tournoi international de hockey pee-wee de Québec) is an annual minor ice hockey event in Quebec City. The tournament was founded in 1960 to coincide with the Quebec Winter Carnival, and give an opportunity for international competition to players less than 12 years old. The tournament raises funds for the local Patro Roc-Amadour foundation, and is mostly run by volunteers and a few staff. The event takes place each year in February at Videotron Centre, and previously spent 56 seasons at Quebec Coliseum. As of 2018, the event has showcased the talent of over 1,200 future professionals in the National Hockey League or the World Hockey Association. Mark Mitera
Mark Mitera (born October 22, 1987) is an American former professional ice hockey player. Mitera was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round, 19th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He last played for the Reading Royals of the ECHL in 2012–13. Playing career Mitera joined the University of Michigan for the 2005-06 season after playing two seasons with the U.S. National Team Development Program. During his final season with Michigan, Mitera tore his ACL and underwent successful surgery. He returned to the Wolverines lineup and finished the season with one goal and two assists in eight games. The Atlanta Thrashers were a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta. Atlanta was granted a franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL) on June 25, 1997, and became the League's 28th franchise when it began play in the 1999–2000 season. They were members of the Southeast Division of the NHL's Eastern Conference, and played their home games at what is now known as State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta. Tomáš Kopecký (; born 5 February 1982) is a Slovak former professional ice hockey centre. He played in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers. The Hamilton Bulldogs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Hamilton, Ontario, at FirstOntario Centre (formerly known as Copps Coliseum), nicknamed 'The Dog Pound'.
