Matheus Costa (football Manager)
Matheus Silva Ferreira da Costa (born 14 January 1987) is a Brazilian football coach, currently in charge of Santo André. Career Born in Curitiba, Costa played futsal at Paraná but retired at early age. He subsequently worked at Atlético Paranaense, Coritiba and Internacional before joining Levir Culpi's staff at Fluminense in 2016. On 7 January 2017, Costa was named Wagner Lopes' assistant at Paraná. In July, after Lopes and Cristian de Souza were both sacked, he acted as an interim during a 4–1 Série B home routing of Brasil de Pelotas; after the arrival of Lisca, he returned to his previous role. On 2 September 2017, Lisca was sacked after altercations with the club's board and supposedly assaulting Costa; he was later named interim manager. Cristian Ziani de Souza (born 6 October 1977) is a Brazilian professional football coach, currently the head coach of Botafogo-PB. Career Born in Quaraí, Rio Grande do Sul, Cristian was a futsal player and retired at the age of 24. After beginning his career with Esportivo's youth categories, he later worked as an assistant at the club, and at Veranópolis and Pelotas. In 2010, he joined Grêmio and became their under-17 coach. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
