Master (2021 Film)
''Master'' is a 2021 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language action film written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by Xavier Britto, under his maiden production house XB Film Creators, the film stars Vijay (actor), Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi with Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Gouri G. Kishan play other supporting roles. The film revolves around an alcoholic professor, J. D. (Vijay), who takes a three-month teaching job in a juvenile home and clashes with a ruthless gangster named Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the children as the scapegoat for his criminal activities. Lokesh Kanagaraj narrated the script to Vijay in May 2019, and after his acceptance, the film was launched under in August 2019. Lokesh Kanagaraj
Lokesh Kanagaraj (born 14 March 1986) is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Tamil films. He started his careers with a short film in the 2016 anthology ''Aviyal (2016 film), Aviyal.'' He later directed his first feature film ''Maanagaram'' (2017). He created the Lokesh Cinematic Universe franchise with his films Kaithi (2019 film), ''Kaithi'' (2019) and Vikram (2022 film), ''Vikram'' (2022). His upcoming film, Leo (2023 Indian Film), ''Leo'', is also intended to be a part of the universe. Leo marked the second collaboration between Vijay (actor), Vijay and Lokesh after Master (2021 film), ''Master'' (2021).
