Massimo Franciosa
Massimo Franciosa (23 July 1924 – 30 March 1998) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. He wrote for more than 70 films between 1955 and 1991. He also directed nine films between 1963 and 1971. He was nominated for an Academy Awards, Oscar for Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, Best Screenplay for ''The Four Days of Naples (film), The Four Days of Naples'' in 1964. The Leopard (1963 Film)
''The Leopard'' ( it, Il Gattopardo, lit=The Serval) is a 1963 epic historical drama film directed by Luchino Visconti. Written by Visconti, Enrico Medioli, Massimo Franciosa, Suso Cecchi d'Amico, Pasquale Festa Campanile and René Barjavel, the film is an adaptation of the 1958 novel of the same title by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. ''The Voyage'' ( it, Il viaggio; also released as ''The Journey'') is a 1974 romantic drama film directed by Vittorio De Sica, based on the short story ''Il viaggio'' by Luigi Pirandello. It was De Sica's final film. Plot Set in Sicily in the years leading up to World War I, Adriana De Mauro loves Cesar Braggi, but Cesar, honoring his father's dying wish, allows his brother Antonio to marry her.
