''Maskineri'' ( Machinery) is the fourth studio album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, released on 18 February 2008. Recorded and mixed during November and December 2007, the album was released on the independent label Petroleum Records in Norway on 18 February 2008 and on Sony BMG in international territories on a later date. Background The first new composition after the release of their third studio album, ''Maestro'', was "Du og dine er even" (the song's title would later be changed to "Moment"), which was first played at a show at the famous Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway. A day after the first performance, a private concert was held for fans who had won a contest held as a promotion for their 2006 live album '' Live at Vega''. Here, not only did Kaizers Orchestra play some rarely played B-sides but "Du og dine er even" was performed again, and frontman Janove Ottesen also single-handedly performed a new composition, a pump-organ ballad called ... ''250 prosent'' (''250 percent'') is a live album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra. Released exclusively on vinyl and as a digital download from various sites, the release features recordings of ten songs (with one bonus track on digital versions purchased in the iTunes Store), recorded at various concerts held during the tour for the band's fourth album, ''Maskineri'', which lasted from February to May 2008. The name of the album is a reference to the introduction of their organist, Helge Risa (who is seen on the cover), featured in live performances of "Kontroll på kontinentet". Risa is billed from Transylvania and is also called "Mr. 250 prosent". Background To tie in with Kaizers Orchestra's upcoming tour of Europe in October and November 2008, the band wanted to release a new recording. Kaizers Orchestra
Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed on 1 January 2000. They are notable for being among the first non-black metal Norwegian artists singing in their native language to become popular beyond Scandinavia. In 2012, the group announced that following a 2013 "Farewell Tour", they would take a long break. Their final concert was held on 14 September 2013 at DNB Arena in Stavanger, and was also streamed live online. Following weeks of teasers and speculation, the band confirmed a reunion and comeback tour scheduled for 2023. Janove Ottesen
Janove Ottesen (born Jan Ove Ottesen, 1975) is a Norwegian musician, born in Stord, Hordaland, Norway. He specializes in vocals, guitar and barrels, and is a leading member of the Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra. History Youth and first contact with music Bryne, where Ottesen grew up, had few activities available at the time other than football, so he was given a guitar by his grandmother when he was a child. Ottesen and his friend Geir Zahl began writing music in his cellar, recording their music on a cheap tape recorder. The partnership between Ottesen and Zahl eventually evolved into the band Blod, Snått og Juling. In 1994 they produced their first studio album ''En glad tunnel'', which only sold 50 copies. ''Live at Vega'' is a two-disc live album released by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, on 6 March 2006. It features their recorded concert performance at Vega, a concert hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 6 October 2005. It was originally meant to be released alongside the DVD recording of the same concert, '' Viva La Vega'', but the release of the DVD was delayed until later that year. The inside information reads: Who would have thought that a rattling, rampaging, Norwegian singing orchestra would have the crowds go crazy at Vega in Copenhagen one October evening in 2005? Christiania Theatre, or ''Kristiania Theatre'', was Norway's finest stage for spoken drama from 4 October 1836 (opening date) to 1 September 1899. Skambankt (''Beaten to a pulp'' or ''beaten up'') is a Norwegian hard rock band from Klepp, just south of Stavanger. They play a mixture of classic rock'n'roll, punk and hardrock in the tradition of bands like Motörhead, AC/DC, Sex Pistols, Ramones and The Stooges. All the lyrics are in Norwegian. History The band was founded in 1994 when a band who was going to play at a concert couldn't make it. They took the challenge to step in for the cancelled act, and wrote nine songs the same day and performed them later that evening. The line-up was Ted Winters on guitar and vocals, Don Fist on bass, and Hanz Panzer on drums. But at that time there was not more than a few live-gigs and some demo recordings. Accordions (from 19th-century German ''Akkordeon'', from ''Akkord''—"musical chord, concord of sounds") are a family of box-shaped musical instruments of the bellows-driven free-reed aerophone type (producing sound as air flows past a reed in a frame), colloquially referred to as a squeezebox. ''Evig pint'' (English: ''Eternally Tormented'') is the second studio album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, recorded in November and December 2002 and released on 3 February 2003. Background After the release of the best-selling '' Ompa til du dør'', and the EPs ''Død manns tango'' and ''Mann mot mann'', the band started writing new material. "Die Polizei" was played in late 2001, although part of the plot of the following album, '' Maestro'',CD Booklet of Våre Demoner rather than ''Evig pint''. In February 2002, the band debuted the song "Salt og pepper" and continued to play it throughout 2002. Some new compositions were mentioned in interviews, called "Brolins Box Arrangement" and "Tyster". However, these were never mentioned again or played live. Electric Piano
An electric piano is a musical instrument which produces sounds when a performer presses the keys of a piano-style musical keyboard. Pressing keys causes mechanical hammers to strike metal strings, metal reeds or wire tines, leading to vibrations which are converted into electrical signals by magnetic pickups, which are then connected to an instrument amplifier and loudspeaker to make a sound loud enough for the performer and audience to hear. Unlike a synthesizer, the electric piano is not an electronic instrument. Instead, it is an electro-mechanical instrument. Some early electric pianos used lengths of wire to produce the tone, like a traditional piano.
