Masjid Darul Ghufran
Masjid Darul Ghufran ( Jawi: مسجد دار الغفران) is currently the largest mosque in Singapore, located in Tampines and occupying with a floor area of 5,910 sq metres. It is about 300m from Tampines Bus Interchange, and beside Our Tampines Hub. History and design Masjid Darul Ghufran was completed in December 1990 and was officiated by Mr. Haji Othman Haron Eusofe, Member of Parliament for Marine Parade GRC on 12 July 1991. It was designed by the Housing and Development Board and originally had a brown brick facade. The architecture was described as an "interplay on walls". A dome was added to the minaret, together with Islamic geometric motifs on the windows and entrances after consultations with the community. After structural failures with the brick facade in 1998, the mosque was later encased in azure blue panelling, which resulted in its nickname of "Menara Biru" (Blue Minaret in Malay) by the residents. The Housing & Development Board (HDB) (; ms, Lembaga Perumahan dan Pembangunan; ta, வீடமைப்பு வளர்ச்சிக் கழகம்) or often referred to as the Housing Board, is a statutory board under the Ministry of National Development responsible for Singapore's public housing. Masjid Al-Istighfar
The Al-Istighfar Mosque ( ms, Masjid Al-Istighfar) is a mosque in Pasir Ris, Singapore. The mosque is wheelchair accessible as there are ramps and a lift that serves all floors. The mosque is fully air conditioned in all of the prayer halls. As the number of Muslims in the neighbourhood increases, the mosque is overcrowded due to the high demand during peak periods such as Friday prayers and Ramadan night prayers. On the 27 January 2017, the Masjid Al-Istighfar opened a new temporary prayer facility located opposite the mosque. This is to cater to the large number of Muslim worshippers for its Friday prayers. To be scheduled to be completed by end-December 2018, overflow prayer spaces are built to meet with the ever increasing worshippers every Fridays. Tampines MRT Station
Tampines MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the East West (EWL) and Downtown (DTL) lines in Tampines, Singapore. Situated at the heart of the Tampines town centre next to Tampines Avenue 4, Tampines Central 4 and Tampines Central 5, it is in close proximity to the Tampines and Tampines Concourse bus interchanges. The station also serves the surrounding retail developments of Tampines Mall, Tampines One and Century Square. The EWL station opened on 16 December 1989 as part of the MRT eastern line extension to Pasir Ris station via this station. On 20 August 2010, it was announced that the station would interchange with the DTL by 2017. Marine Parade is a planning area and residential estate located in the Central Region of Singapore. Sunni Islam () is the largest branch of Islam, followed by 85–90% of the world's Muslims. Its name comes from the word '' Sunnah'', referring to the tradition of Muhammad.
