Mascot Dock & Marina are a village marina and dock stretching out into the waters of the Patchogue Bay at the end of South Ocean Avenue, in Patchogue, Suffolk County, NYbr> The Patchogue Village marina serves many local village functions, in conjunction with Shorefront Park which is adjacent to the Mascot Dock. There have been numerous events that have used the dock's location, such as fireworks displays and boat races, as well as crabbing and fishing off the long L-shaped dock. Patchogue Bay
Patchogue Bay is a lagoon on the south-central shores of Long Island in the U.S. state of New York. Part of the Great South Bay, Patchogue Bay is a cove between the points of land known as Blue Point and Howells Point, and across which ferries run south to Fire Island. Ownership Grant The Patchogue Bay, bay bottom up to the barrier beach, is owned by Brookhaven town because of a grant from the King of Britain long before the existence of the US. Patchogue Village
Patchogue (, ) is a village in Suffolk County, New York. The population was 11,798 at the time of the 2010 census. Patchogue is part of the town of Brookhaven, on the south shore of Long Island, adjoining Great South Bay. It is officially known as the ''Incorporated Village of Patchogue''. History Patchogue, which is approximately east of Manhattan, became incorporated in 1893. In 1812 there were 75 inhabitants in Patchogue according to ''The Brooklyn Eagle'', published in 1930. The Patchogue Former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) was operated from 1904 to 1926. Shorefront Park
Shorefront Park and the Patchogue Village Band Shell are located on Smith Street at the south end of Rider Avenue, Patchogue, New York. Since 2007, the Park has undergone updates by the village of Patchogue. There has been replacement of the older Band shell to a more contemporary style has been replaces. The new venue served as the geographical host for the Great South Bay music festival in 2010. 'Rider Avenue Park' is located directly opposite or north of Shorefront Park. Crab fisheries are fisheries which capture or Fish farming, farm crabs. True crabs make up 20% of all crustaceans caught and farmed worldwide, with about 1.4 million tonnes being consumed annually.
