Maschi E Altri
''Maschi e Altri'' is the ninth album by Gianna Nannini. It is her first compilation album, and it was released in 1987 in South America, South Korea, Israel, South Africa and Australia. It includes some of her most successful singles, including "Profumo" (who topped the Greek charts), "I Maschi" (who debuted at the "World Popular Song Festival” in Tokyo) and "Avventura" (who became popular when Philips used it for a commercial advertising Metalalkaline batteries). Nannini did not tour to promote the album but she took part in a concert at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg on May 1, 1987, where she performed a selection of songs by Bertoldt Brecht and Kurt Weill alongside Sting and Jack Bruce. Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner (born 2 October 1951), known as Sting, is an English musician and actor. He was the frontman, songwriter and bassist for new wave rock band The Police from 1977 until their breakup in 1986. "Fotoromanza" is a song composed by Gianna Nannini, Conny Plank and Raffaella Riva (a member of the pop group Gruppo Italiano) and performed by Gianna Nannini. The single peaked at first place for four consecutive weeks in September 1984 on the Italian hit parade. It won the 1984 edition of Festivalbar and also won "Vota la Voce", a musical event organized by the magazine ''TV Sorrisi e Canzoni''. The music video of the song was directed by the Academy Award winner Michelangelo Antonioni. Jack Bruce
John Symon Asher Bruce (14 May 1943 – 25 October 2014) was a Scottish bassist, singer-songwriter, musician and composer. He gained popularity as the primary lead vocalist and bassist of British rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands. In the early 1960s Bruce joined the Graham Bond Organisation (GBO), where he met his future bandmate Ginger Baker. After leaving the band, he joined with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, where he met Eric Clapton, who also became his future bandmate. His time with the band was brief.
