"Fotoromanza" is a song composed by Gianna Nannini, Conny Plank and Raffaella Riva (a member of the pop group Gruppo Italiano) and performed by Gianna Nannini. The single peaked at first place for four consecutive weeks in September 1984 on the Italian hit parade. It won the 1984 edition of Festivalbar and also won "Vota la Voce", a musical event organized by the magazine ''TV Sorrisi e Canzoni''. The music video of the song was directed by the Academy Award winner Michelangelo Antonioni. The song was later covered by several artists, including Ricchi e Poveri and Iva Zanicchi, and sampled by rapper Marracash for his song "Fotoromanzo". ''Puzzle'' is the sixth album by Gianna Nannini. It was released in 1984. The first single from the album, "Fotoromanza", was a summer hit and went on to win the Festivalbar, Vota la Voce and a Gold Telegatto Award. The music video was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. The album went platinum in Italy, with "Fotoromanza" topping the charts in Italy, Switzerland and Austria. The Festivalbar was an Italian singing competition that took place in the most important Italian squares during summer, such as the Piazza del Duomo, Catania or Piazza Bra, Verona. The first edition took place in 1964 and was broadcast by RAI. The competition was held throughout the summer and the final round always took place at the Arena in Verona after 3-4 events in various cities of Italy. History Originally, the Festivalbar was a competition made with data from jukeboxes in Italian bars, so the competition was a one evening event transmitted by RAI. From 1983, Mediaset started to transmit this programme and the Festivalbar would change its location every week. The original promoter of the Festivalbar was Vittorio Salvetti. The Stolen Children

Gianni Amelio (born 20 January 1945) is an Italian film director. Early life Amelio was born in San Pietro di Magisano, province of Catanzaro, Calabria. His father moved to Argentina soon after his birth. He spent his youth and adolescence with his mother and his grandmother. The absence of a paternal figures will be a constant in Amelio's future works. During his university studies of philosophy in Messina, Amelio got interested in cinema, writing as film critic for a local magazine.
