Masashi Ebinuma
is a Japanese judoka. Ebinuma is a triple world champion, having won in 2011, 2013 and 2014. A dominant force in the half-lightweight division, he was ranked first in the world for three years. He is regarded as an ultimate stylist of seoi nage. He is also known for being a quadruple All-Japan national champion. Ebinuma won bronze medals at the 2012 Olympics and the 2016 Olympics. He married judoka Kana Abe in 2014. Career In one of the most controversial fights in judo with Ebinuma beating South Korea's Cho Jun-ho, Cho Jun-ho was initially announced as the victor. His score was overturned by the judges after a replay. In the bronze medal match in the London 2012 Olympics, an ippon was scored against him by Poland's Paweł Zagrodnik. It was downgraded to a waza-ari, saving him from defeat and earning him his first Olympic medal. At the 2016 Olympics, he beat Charles Chibana, Ma Duanbin and Wander Mateo before losing to An Ba-ul. Oyama, Tochigi

2014 World Judo Championships
The 2014 World Judo Championships were held in Chelyabinsk, Russia, from 25–31 August 2014, in the Traktor Ice Arena. Each participating country was permitted to present a total of 18 men and women judokas to participate in the 14 weight categories (7 male and 7 female), but no more than two judokas from the same country were allowed to fight in the same category. Bids Bids were made by Azerbaijan, Russia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, and the United States to the International Judo Federation for the initial staging of the championships. On 2 October 2012, it was announced that Russia would hold the full championships for the first time. Judo Grand Slam
The Judo Grand Slam tournaments are international judo tournaments held by the International Judo Federation as part of the IJF World Tour. After the Olympic Games, World Championships and World Masters, the Grand Slam tournaments are the highest-ranking worldwide judo tournaments, i.e. the tournaments in which the judoka can acquire the most ranking points. While some sources states that the first Grand Slam tournament was held in Tokyo in December 2008, the IJF titled it as "Kano Cup", not "Grand Slam". In 2009 additional tournaments were also held in Paris, Moscow and Rio de Janeiro. In 2013, Baku replaced Rio de Janeiro. Until 2013 there were four Grand Slam tournaments every year. Judo World Masters
The Judo World Masters is an annual invite-only judo competition. After being open for only the top 16 ranked judoka in each weight class for its first eight installments, the tournament was expended to host the top 36 of each weight class in 2019. The world masters is the only world tour event with no limitation on the number of judoka competing from any single national association.
