Hindrik Harmannus Arnoldus "Henk" Grol (born 14 April 1985 in Veendam) is a retired Dutch judoka. Judo career Grol competed in the 2007 European Judo Championships in Belgrade, Serbia in the men's under 90 kg, as a replacement for Mark Huizinga, who cancelled last minute due to personal problems. He won gold in the men's under 100-kilo class at the 2008 European Judo Championships in Lisbon, Portugal. He was the youngest European Champion of that year, only 22 years old. After a highly competitive race against Elco van der Geest, Grol ended up to be the 2008 representative for the men's 100 kg category for the Netherlands at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. There he reached the semifinals, where he was beaten by Askhat Zhitkeyev from Kazakhstan. He went on to win bronze beating Levan Zhorzholiani from Georgia. Jorge Ivayr Rodrigues da Fonseca (born 30 October 1992) is a Santomean-born Portuguese judoka. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 100 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the second round by Lukáš Krpálek. He won the gold medal at the 2019 World Judo Championships in Tokyo and in the 2021 World Judo Championships in Budapest. He won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Shady El Nahas
Shady El Nahas (born March 27, 1998) is a Canadian judoka. Career When El Nahas was young, he immigrated to Canada from Egypt, and took up the sport of judo for self-defence against bullying at school. In November 2018, El Nahas won silver at the Osaka Grand Slam, and the following year he followed that up with a bronze at the 2019 Ekaterinburg Grand Slam. El Nahas also won gold at the 2019 Pan American Judo Championships in Lima, Peru and in 2020. In June 2021, El Nahas was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team. Personal life El Nahas was born in Alexandria, Egypt and moved to Canada with his family at the age of 12. The family initially lived in Toronto though he moved to Montreal to join the national Canadian judo team where he trains with them today. is a Japanese judoka who won a gold medal at the 2017 World Judo Championships in Budapest and a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He is the son of a Japanese mother, Mikako, and an American father, James, who teaches English at a Japanese university.
