Masanori Mark Christianson
Masanori Mark Christianson (born Masanori Hakuta Shirota, January 18, 1976 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese-Korean-American musician, creative director, and visual artist. He may be best known as a bass guitarist and multi-instrumentalist for the Oakland, California indie rock bands Rogue Wave, The Heavenly States, and Release The Sunbird. Masanori, also an award winning advertising art director, designer, and copywriter, has worked for clients ranging from the Target Corporation to the Tiger Woods Foundation. Although not a serious venture, Masanori occasionally dabbles in modeling, voice-over and extra work for corporations such as UnitedHealth Group and the Investigation Discovery Channel. Masanori is the older sibling of Los Angeles based musician and composer Ken Christianson. He is an alumnus of Carleton College. Multi-instrumentalist
A multi-instrumentalist is a musician who plays two or more musical instruments at a professional level of proficiency. Also known as doubling, the practice allows greater ensemble flexibility and more efficient employment of musicians, where a particular instrument may be employed only briefly or sporadically during a performance. Rogue Wave (band)
Rogue Wave is an indie rock band from Oakland, California, and headed by Zach Schwartz (a.k.a. Zach Rogue) who created the band after losing his job in the dot-com bust. Their first album was '' Out of the Shadow'' which was released privately in 2003 and re-released in 2004. In the fall of 2004 they went on a national tour of the United States. Lifter Puller
Lifter Puller, or LFTR PLLR, was an American indie rock band from the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Twin Cities and the Boston area between 1994 and 2000. Their music is considered innovative, with its angular riffs and a synth-infused sound that predated the '80s revival fads of the early 2000s. Arguably, however, the band is most known for frontman Craig Finn, Craig Finn's elaborate lyrics, which often relied upon an established universe of drug-addled coeds, cash-strapped nightclub proprietors, murdered ravers and other nostalgic excursions in Minneapolis and Boston. Vagrant Records is an American record label based in California. It was founded in 1995 by Rich Egan and Jon Cohen.
