Masanobu Goshu
Masanobu Goshu is a retired Japanese kickboxer. He is a former Krush Super Featherweight champion. Biography and career Early life Goshu was born with hearing loss. He started to play baseball in elementary school and dreamed of becoming a professional, he played for the Tokai University Fuzoku Kofu Senior High School team and participated to the 2004 summer Koshien tournament. He started kickboxing after high school. At 21 he moved to Tokyo and joined PHOENIX GYM with the ambition of becoming professional. He won the 2011 All Japan KAMINARIMON -65 kg title as a part of the RISE organization amateur program. RISE career Goshu turned professional under the ring name "Riki Goshu" at RISE 85 on November 23, 2011, where he defeated Shuto Miyazaki by unanimous decision. is a Japanese kickboxer. He is the former K-1 Super Featherweight champion, K-1 Featherweight champion and K-1 Super Bantamweight champion. He is the only three weight champion in K-1 history. A generational talent, Takeru is considered to be one of the greatest kickboxers in the modern history of the sport, alongside his compatriot Tenshin Nasukawa. Krush is a martial arts entertainment planning and promotion brand established in 2008, currently based in Japan. It is the sister brand of K-1, and has produced numerous future K-1 competitors, such as Takeru Segawa, Tatsuya Tsubakihara and Yuki Egawa. It features events across ten male and three female weight classes. Current Krush champions History Krush was launched in 2008, prior to the death of K-1 FEG, as a collaboration between K-1 and All Japan Kickboxing Federation. Kotaro Shimano (born 8 June 1992) is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Futtsu, Japan. He is the former Krush Super Featherweight champion. As of 1 August 2020, he is ranked the #9 flyweight in the world by Combat Press. He first entered the rankings in May 2019. Kickboxing career Shimano enjoyed one of the best runs of his career in 2014, when he went on a five fight winning streak, including a first round TKO of Leona Pettas. This run earned a chance to fight Hirotaka Urabe for the Krush Super Featherweight title. He failed to capture the title, as Urabe won a unanimous decision. He lost three of his next four fights, before entering the 2016 K-1 Super Featherweight Grand Prix.
