Guilhermina Marçal
Guilhermina Marçal (also known as Sister Guilhermina) is a humanitarian activist from Same, East Timor. She is the Provincial superior of the Canossian Sisters in East Timor. She was active in support for East Timor independence and would smuggle messages into prisoners. She was appointed, in 2010, to the Commission for the National Police of East Timor Promotion by the East Timor State Secretary for the Council of Ministers, Isabel da Costa Ferreira. Biography Guilhermina Marçal is a Roman Catholic Canossian sister. She was born in Same (East Timor) and has been working for the promotion of independence, as well as social, economic and cultural rights in that country. Maria Mercè Marçal
Maria Mercè Marçal i Serra (13 November 1952 – 5 July 1998) was a Catalan poet, professor, writer and translator from Spain. Biography Marçal was born in Barcelona but spent her childhood in Ivars d'Urgell (Pla d'Urgell), which she considered her home. Her mother was Maria Serra, a woman who loved theater and songs, and her father was Antoni Marçal, who had to leave college for family reasons. She had a sister Magda. She went to high-school in Lleida, at the Institut de Lleida, after receiving a scholarship. She then studied literature at the University of Barcelona, earning a degree in Classical Philology there. She went on to become a Professor of Catalan Language and Literature. In 1972, Marçal married the poet Ramon Pinyol Balasch. They separated some time afterward. Nuno Ricardo Oliveira Marçal (born 14 November 1975 in Campanhã) is a retired Portuguese basketball player. He played as a forward. Professional career He first played at FC Porto, from 1992/93 to 1998/99, moving then to Fuenlabrada, in Spain, for 1999/00. He returned to FC Porto, where he played from 2000/01 to 2002/03. Marçal was assigned to Oliveirense, for 2003/04, moving to Spain after that, where he went to represent Murcia (2004/05) and Huelva (2005/06). Marçal is now playing again at FC Porto, since 2006/07. Marçal Justen Filho
Marçal Justen Filho (1955) is a Brazilian attorney and Law professor. He was tenured professor at Federal University of Paraná Law School (UFPR) from 1978 to 2006. Marçal Justen Filho obtained his law degree from Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) Law School (1973–1977), having graduated at the top of his class. He figures in the restricted list of notable alumni of the institution. He achieved his LLM in 1984 and his PhD in 1985, both from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). He was approved in a public competition for the seat of tenured professor at UFPR in 1986, a position he stepped down from in 2006 in order to fully dedicate himself to his other legal activities.
