Maryna Pryshchepa
Maryna Pryshchepa (Ukrainian: Марина Прищепа; born 28 July 1983) is a Ukrainian judoka. Career She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics (Beijing) in the -78 kg event and lost her opening match to Heide Wollert. Four years later in London, she participated in the -78 kg tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated in her first match by Audrey Tcheuméo of France. Pryshchepa won a silver medal at the 2009 World Judo Championships. She also has a silver medal (2009) and four bronze medals (2006, 2007, 2010, 2012) at the European Judo Championships. Pryshchepa is also competing in sambo and sumo. She is a world sambo champion. Since 2008 Pryshchepa has been representing Ukraine in sumo. World Judo Juniors Championships
The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 21 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year (except the years when the Olympics take place) by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. International Judo Federation
The International Judo Federation (IJF) was founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. History Since 2009, IJF has organized yearly World Championships and the World Judo Tour consisting of five Grand Prix, four Grand Slams, a master tournament, and a Continental open tournament. The IJF initially named Russian President Vladimir Putin its honorary president and IJF Ambassador in 2008. That status of Putin's was suspended in 2022, in reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
