Maryland Route 330
Maryland Route 330 (MD 330) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Maryland Line Road, the highway runs from MD 299 and MD 313 at Massey east to the Delaware state line in eastern Kent County, where the highway continues as Clayton Delaney Road. Maryland Line Road was improved in 1954 but was not brought into the state highway system and designated MD 330 until the late 1980s. Route description MD 330 begins at a four-way intersection with MD 299 and MD 313 at Massey. MD 299 heads north as Massey Road toward Sassafras, and MD 313 heads west (northbound) and south as Galena Road. MD 330 heads east as a two-lane undivided road that immediately has a grade crossing of the Centreville Branch of the Northern Line of the Maryland and Delaware Railroad just south of the junction of the Centreville and Chestertown branches of the Northern Line. Maryland And Delaware Railroad
The Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company is a Class III short-line railroad, formed in 1977 to operate several branch lines of the former Penn Central Railroad in both Maryland and Delaware, United States. These branches were omitted from the system plan for Conrail in 1976 and would have been discontinued without state subsidies. As an alternative to the higher cost of subsidizing Conrail as the operator of the branch lines, the Maryland and Delaware governments selected the Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company (MDDE) to serve as the designated operator. The railroad did not own any of the track it uses until 2000 when it acquired a line between Frankford, Delaware and Snow Hill, Maryland, from the Snow Hill Shippers Association. Massey Aerodrome is an airport located east of Massey, Maryland, United States. History Massey Aerodrome is a public use airport with a 3000’ x 100’ grass runway (ID: MD1) dedicated to the preservation of grassroots aviation. It was created from farmland in 2001 by four pilots.
