Maryland Route 315
Maryland Route 315 (MD 315) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The state highway runs from MD 313 and MD 318 on the west side of Federalsburg east to MD 318 east of Federalsburg. MD 315, which is the old routing of MD 318 through downtown Federalsburg, is maintained by the town within the town limits and on either side of the town limits by the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA). MD 315 follows what were sections of MD 319, MD 313, and MD 318, which were constructed between the late 1910s and mid-1920s. The highway became fully part of MD 318 in the mid-1950s. The highway was designated as MD 315 in the early 1960s after MD 318 was moved to the Federalsburg Bypass. Maryland Route 314
Maryland Route 314 (MD 314) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The state highway runs from the beginning of state maintenance along Sunset Avenue in Greensboro east to the Delaware state line in Whiteleysburg, where the highway continues east as Delaware Route 12 (DE 12). What is now MD 314 was paved in Greensboro in the 1910s. The remainder of the state highway to Whiteleysburg was constructed in the late 1920s. MD 314 west of MD 480 was originally MD 315. When MD 313 bypassed Greensboro in 1950, MD 314 was extended west to its present terminus. Route description MD 314 begins in the town of Greensboro at a former railroad crossing with an unused railroad grade owned by the Maryland Department of Transportation between Cosden Street and Granby Street. Maryland Route 318
Maryland Route 318 (MD 318) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The state highway runs from MD 16/ MD 331 at Preston east to the Delaware state line near Federalsburg, where the highway continues east as Delaware Route 18 (DE 18). MD 318 connects Federalsburg with Preston and Bridgeville, Delaware. The state highway follows the Dorchester– Caroline county line for most of its length between Linchester and Federalsburg. The county line road is considered to be in Caroline County for maintenance purposes. Further east, MD 318 runs concurrently with MD 313 to bypass Federalsburg. The portion of MD 318 west of Federalsburg was originally numbered Maryland Route 319 and assumed by MD 318 in the mid-1950s. One-way Traffic
One-way traffic (or uni-directional traffic) is traffic that moves in a single direction. A one-way street is a street either facilitating only one-way traffic, or designed to direct vehicles to move in one direction. One-way streets typically result in higher traffic flow as drivers may avoid encountering oncoming traffic or turns through oncoming traffic. Residents may dislike one-way streets due to the circuitous route required to get to a specific destination, and the potential for higher speeds adversely affecting pedestrian safety. Bridgeville, Delaware
Bridgeville is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population is 2,048, an increase of 42.6% from the previous decade. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The town of Bridgeville is the oldest community in western Sussex County. Records of land transactions which were made in the first quarter of the 18th century suggest that a significant agricultural community already existed in the area by that period. A small group of houses had been built along the present Main Street by the turn of the 19th century; this settlement was known as "Bridge Branch" for the nearby stream, which was crossed by a bridge as early as 1730.
