Alimos
Alimos ( el, Άλιμος) is a south district of Athens and a municipality in South Athens regional unit, Greece. It was formed in 1968 comprising two settlements, the suburban seaside town of Kalamaki ( el, Καλαμάκι), and the inland community of Trachones ( el, Τράχωνες). Alimos had 41,720 inhabitants in the 2011 census. Geography Alimos is situated on the Saronic Gulf coast, 8 km south of Athens city centre along the Athens coast. The municipality has an area of 5.909 km2. The Hellinikon Olympic Complex, built on the grounds of the former Ellinikon International Airport for the 2004 Summer Olympics, lies south of Alimos. Dionysis Papagiannopoulos
Dionysis Papagiannopoulos ( el, Διονύσης Παπαγιαννόπουλος; 12 July 1912 – 17 April 1984) was a Greek actor. He was born in Diakopto in the northeastern part of Achaea in 1912. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece (Ethniko Theatro) in Athens and made his stage debut in 1938, appearing as the Knight in William Shakespeare's ''King Lear''. He excelled in Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'' as the Grave Digger and in Dimitris Psathas’ ''Fonazei o Kleftis'' as General Solon Karaleon. Stage and screen Dionysis Papagiannopoulos acted in all types of plays and appeared in more than 120 films in supporting and leading roles. One of his leading roles in cinema was ''O Kyr Giorgis Ekpaidevetai'' (Mr. Giorgis is being educated) (1977) which was the last film made by Finos Film and marked the end of an era. Lambros Konstantaras
Lambros Konstantaras (13 March 1913 – 28 June 1985) was a Greek film actor. He appeared in 80 films between 1940 and 1981. He was born and died in Athens. Biography He was born in 1913, in Kolonaki, Athens. He studied acting in Paris and graduated in 1933, making his theatre debut in France in 1937. The following year, he returned to Greece and worked in theatre. After working in several theatre groups he formed his own with Jenny Karezi, Maro Kontou and Nikos Rizos, often working together with such actresses as Ellie Lambeti, Aliki Vougiouklaki and others. However, Konstantaras was far better known as a film actor, playing leading roles in more than 80 movies. In cinema, he debuted in 1939 with the film ''The Parting Song'', the first Greek sound film.
