Marvellous F
''Marvellous'' is a 90-minute British drama television film first broadcast on BBC Two on 25 September 2014. Directed by Julian Farino and written by Peter Bowker, it is about the life of Neil Baldwin from Westlands, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. In the 1990s Baldwin, now an honorary graduate of Keele University, was appointed as Stoke City Football Club's kit-man by its manager Lou Macari. Baldwin's autobiography, ''Marvellous: Neil Baldwin – My Story'', was published in hardback in 2015. In 2022 his story was told on stage, in a play, also called ''Marvellous'', performed at the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme and at @sohoplace in London's West End. Peter Bowker
Peter Bowker (born 5 January 1959) is a British playwright and screenwriter. He is best known for the television serials ''Blackpool'' (2004), a musical drama about a shady casino owner; ''Occupation'' (2009), which follows three military servicemen adjusting to civilian life after a tour of duty in Iraq; and ''Desperate Romantics'' (2009), a biographical drama about the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. In 2007, he adapted ''Blackpool'' for CBS as ''Viva Laughlin''. His most recent work was the BBC World War II drama series '' World on Fire''. Stoke City Football Club is a professional football club based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, which competes in the . Greg McHugh
Greg McHugh (born 5 January 1980) is a Scottish actor. He is the creator, writer and star of the BBC1 comedy series '' Gary: Tank Commander''. He also played Howard in the Channel 4 comedy '' Fresh Meat''. Early life and education Greg McHugh was born in Morningside, Edinburgh, on 5 January 1980. His father was a civil servant, and his mother a teacher. McHugh has two elder brothers. McHugh attended St Peter's RC primary school and then St Thomas of Aquin's High School. @sohoplace is a West End theatre operated by Nimax Theatres. It is on the site of the previous London Astoria, as part of development around the Elizabeth line's Tottenham Court Road station. It is the first purpose-built West End theatre to be opened in 50 years. It opened on 15 October 2022, with a production of the play ''Marvellous''.
