Martín Rodríguez (; born 18 December 1969) is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. Rodríguez turned professional in 1991. He reached his career-high singles ranking when he became World Number 71 on June 14, 1999. On 25 October 2004, he reached his career-high doubles rank, when he became World Number 15. Rodríguez's coach was Horacio de la Peña. Gastón Etlis (born 4 November 1974) is a former tennis player from Argentina. The right-hander won four career titles in doubles, and reached his highest ATP rankings of World No. 114 in singles May 2000 and World No. 17 in doubles in January 2005. Etlis' greatest success in singles came in the final tournament of his singles career, reaching the semifinals of Costa do Sauípe in 2003. Tennis career Etlis turned professional in 1993. The Mexican Open (currently sponsored by Telcel and HSBC and called the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presented by HSBC) is a men's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts, and usually held annually in late February at the Arena GNP Seguros since 2022 and previously at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess, both in Acapulco, Mexico. It was played on outdoor red clay courts until 2013. The change to hard courts was introduced in 2014. The Mexican Open is part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the ATP Tour, and until 2020 was one of the WTA International tournaments on the WTA Tour. The tournament was introduced on the ATP Tour in 1993, and began on the WTA Tour in 2001. Horacio De La Peña
Horacio Armando de la Peña (born 1 August 1966), nicknamed "el Pulga" ("the Flea"), is a tennis coach and a former tennis player from Argentina, who reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 31. De la Peña was born in Buenos Aires. He began playing on the ATP circuit professionally in 1984, when he was 17. He won four ATP World Tour titles in his career, all of which were on clay. He also won six doubles titles – five on clay. De la Peña is most well known as the former coach of Chilean Fernando González. Chile's Fernando González and Nicolás Massú defeated Germany's Nicolas Kiefer and Rainer Schüttler in the final, 6–2, 4–6, 3–6, 7–6(9–7), 6–4 to win the gold medal in Men's Doubles tennis at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
