Martyn Auty
Martyn Auty (born July 1951 in Yorkshire) is an English film and television producer. He attended the University of Hull and graduated in 1972. He began his career as a film critic for '' Time Out'' and ''The Monthly Film Bulletin''. Auty is most famous for his series producing, having worked on '' Heartbeat'' and ''A Touch of Frost'' during the 1990s, however, he has also worked on a variety of other styles of programme. These include ''Lenny Live and Unleashed'', ''Soul Survivors'', and ''A Gentleman's Relish''. The latter, which starred Billy Connolly, was made for the BBC in 2001. Auty returned to shooting a new series of ''A Touch of Frost'' in 2009. Heidi (2005 Live-action Film)
''Heidi'' is a 2005 British family film directed by Paul Marcus. It is based on the iconic 1881 novel ''Heidi'' by Johanna Spyri, and stars Irish child actress Emma Bolger in the title role, alongside Max Von Sydow and Diana Rigg. Plot Heidi, a cheerful girl, is taken to live with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. She becomes close friends with Peter, a goatherd, and spends much of her time with the boy and his goats outdoors. ''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. A Foreign Field
''A Foreign Field'' is a 1993 British made-for-television drama film about British and American Second World War veterans returning to the beaches of Normandy as old men. It is more a drama than a comedy, although it combines aspects of both. It was directed by Charles Sturridge and featured an ensemble cast of American, Australian, British, and French actors and actresses. The title evokes the Rupert Brooke poem "The Soldier". The film was driven into production by Alec Guinness who used his influence with the BBC to make it and with the various famous actors to appear in it. Billy Connolly
Sir William Connolly (born 24 November 1942) is a Scottish actor, retired comedian, artist, writer, musician, and presenter. He is sometimes known, especially in his homeland, by the Scots nickname the Big Yin ("the Big One"). Known for his idiosyncratic and often improvised observational comedy, frequently including strong language, Connolly has topped many UK polls as the greatest stand-up comedian of all time. In 2022 he received the BAFTA Fellowship for lifetime achievement from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
