Martin Treacy
Martin Treacy (1936 – 4 June 2014) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Bennettsbridge, County Kilkenny, Treacy first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-three when he made his senior debut in the 1959 championship. Treacy went on to play a semi-regular part for Kilkenny over the next few years, and won one All-Ireland medal and two Leinster medals. At club level Treacy played with Bennesttsbridge, winning six championship medals. His younger brother, Jim Treacy, also hurled with Kilkenny and captained the team to the All-Ireland title in 1967. In retirement from playing Treacy became involved in administrative affairs and served with the Bennettsbridge club and the Kilkenny County Board. Glenmore GAA
Glenmore is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the south of County Kilkenny, Ireland. The club was founded in 1888 and has achieved hurling success at county, provincial and national level. Glenmore has also provided the Kilkenny intercounty team with several top players. History Glenmore first distinguished itself in Kilkenny on the football field, and it was only in the 1940s that hurling started to take over. Early success came in 1953, when the hurlers won the County Junior Championship. By the 1960s, Glenmore were among the top sides in the county, narrowly losing out to Bennettsbridge in the 1960 and 1964 county finals. Things soon took a turn for the worse, however, when the club was relegated to Junior status in 1967. They reached the final at that grade in 1968, but lost out to Johnstown. Bennettsbridge Hurlers
Bennettsbridge () is a village in County Kilkenny in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is situated on the River Nore south of Kilkenny city, in the centre of the county. Bennettsbridge is a census town, and has population of 745 as of the 2016 census. Séamus Power (Waterford Hurler)
Séamus Power (born 1929 in Waterford, Ireland, died 25 June 2016) was an Irish hurler who played for his local club Mount Sion and at senior level for the Waterford county team in the 1950s and 1960s. He first appeared in a Waterford jersey when he played at full-forward for the Waterford minor hurling team defeated by Cork in 1946 and he first played for the senior team in 1949 against Limerick when he came on as a substitute for Davy Power. He was playing for the Roscrea club at that time as he was working there for the Post Office. On his transfer back to the Waterford Post Office he played for the Mount Sion club where he became one of its greatest players, captaining two championship winning teams; hurling in 1958 and football in 1959. Eddie Keher
Edward Peter Keher (; born 14 October 1941) is an Irish former hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Inistioge, County Kilkenny, Keher first played competitive hurling whilst at school in St. Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fifteen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team. He made his senior debut in the 1959 championship. Keher went on to play a key part for Kilkenny over several seasons, and won six All-Ireland medals, ten Leinster medals and three National Hurling League medals. An All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions, Keher also captained the team to All-Ireland victory in 1969. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team for sixteen years, Keher won nine Railway Cup medals, a record for a Leinster player.
