Martin Stixrud
Martin Stixrud (9 February 1876 – 8 January 1964) was a Norwegian figure skater. He was the 1920 Summer Olympics bronze medalist, 1923 European silver medalist, and 1912 European bronze medalist. He was 44 years old when he won the Olympic bronze medal. He is the second oldest person ever to win an Olympic medal in an individual winter sport. He later coached Sonja Henie. Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. The World Figure Skating Championships (''"Worlds"'') is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. It was founded in Scheveningen, Netherlands, in July 1892, making it one of the oldest international sport federations.
