Martin Schirenc
Martin Schirenc (born 18 December 1968 in Vienna) is an Austrian guitarist and vocalist, best known as a founder of death metal/grindcore band Pungent Stench and symphonic death metal band Hollenthon. His former wife, Elena Schirenc, Elena, is a member and main lyricist of Hollenthon. Martin is currently touring with a new three piece playing the music of Pungent Stench under the name Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench. Martin also has a side project Zombie INC. And is a new guest member of cult Australian Rot'nRoll band Vegas Rhythm Kings. Vegas Rhythm Kings have mentioned Schirenc's influence on their style in many interviews. Eisregen is a German death metal/black metal band formed in 1995. The members are from Tambach-Dietharz, a village in Thuringia. History In English, Eisregen translates to "ice rain". By using morbid German lyrics unlike those of other bands of this genre, Eisregen got the attention of German authorities, causing the ban by the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons of three of their albums in Germany. Eisregen originally planned to disband after releasing a final album called ''Menschenmaterial'' ("human resources", as in mineral/natural resources, a dehumanizing reference to "spendable" humans), but announced that they will continue to work together. Musical style Eisregen's old albums were more black metal-influenced than the newer ones. ''Dirty Rhymes & Psychotronic Beats'' is an EP of the Austrian death metal band Pungent Stench. It was originally released on April 7, 1993 on Nuclear Blast. It contains a couple of new songs, two covers and two remixes of the "Blood, Pus, and Gastric Juice" song, taken off the debut album '' For God Your Soul... For Me Your Flesh''. The EP featured a rather controversial cover which was banned in many countries. Hence, three versions of the cover had been created, each of various degrees of censorship. Australian CD version includes one bonus track (Daddy Cruel). The song "Why Can the Bodies Fly" is a Warning cover song. Warning was from Germany and played EBM, originally it was a soundtrack on the popular German thriller TV series Tatort for the episode "Peggy hat Angst". The 2001 Re-release by Nuclear Blast contains the bonus track "Madcatmachopsychoromantik", a medley of Drahdiwaberl covers.
