Martin Kitchen
Martin Kitchen (December 21, 1936, Nottingham, England) is a British- Canadian historian, who has specialized in modern European history, with an emphasis on Germany. He is internationally regarded as a key author for the study of contemporary history. Kitchen was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at the University of London. Now Professor Emeritus of history at Simon Fraser University, Kitchen started teaching in 1966. He also taught at the Cambridge Group for Population Studies ( Cambridge University). Throughout his career, Kitchen has served in several editorial boards such as the '' International History Review'', the '' Canadian Journal of History / Annales canadiennes d'histoire'' and '' International Affairs''. Nottingham
Nottingham ( , East Midlands English, locally ) is a city status in the United Kingdom, city and Unitary authorities of England, unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, England. It is located north-west of London, south-east of Sheffield and north-east of Birmingham. Nottingham has links to the legend of Robin Hood and to the lace-making, bicycle and Tobacco industry, tobacco industries. The city is also the county town of Nottinghamshire and the settlement was granted its city charter in 1897, as part of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
