Martin Greeley (March 16, 1814 – September 4, 1899) was an American farmer and politician. Born in Palermo, Maine, he came to Minnesota Territory in 1856. He was a farmer and merchant and lived in Maine Prairie, Minnesota. The Territory of Minnesota was an organized incorporated territory of the United States that existed from March 3, 1849, until May 11, 1858, when the eastern portion of the territory was admitted to the Union as the State of Minnesota and western portion to the unorganized territory then the land shortly became the Dakota territory.
