Martin Dugas
Martin Dugas (born 15 October 1972) is a Canadian former association football, soccer player who spent a total of 12 years as a professional. He last coaches the Edmonton Drillers (CMISL), Edmonton Drillers. Career Club career Dugas was an Ontario University Athletics, OUA soccer West Division All-Star in 1991 playing for McMaster University. Dugas played for hometown side St. Catharines Wolves before joining Dutch club SC Cambuur. Had brief stints with FC St. Pauli in Germany and Watford F.C., Watford in England (although he never made a first-team league appearance with the Hornets.) In the fall of a 1996, he returned to Canada where he signed with the Edmonton Drillers (NPSL), Edmonton Drillers of the NPSL II, National Professional Soccer League. CMISL
The Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League or CMISL was a professional indoor soccer league that began full league play in January 2008. The league's president was Mel Kowalchuk. As the league has become affiliated with the Professional Arena Soccer League in the United States, the Edmonton Drillers and Saskatoon Accelerators played four soccer games and the Calgary United FC played eight games against the PASL teams in 2009. Edmonton and Saskatoon played two home games and two road games and Calgary played four home games and four road games against PASL teams. In the CMISL portion of the schedule each team will play eight games. The 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the third edition of the Gold Cup, the soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The tournament returned to the United States and California; the games were hosted by Los Angeles, San Diego, and Anaheim. The format of the tournament changed from 1993: it was expanded to nine teams, separated into three groups of three and played in January as opposed to the 1993 edition which was played in July.
