Marthina Brandt (born January 31, 1992) is a pageant dancer and Brazilian beauty queen, Miss Brazil 2015 representing the state of Rio Grande do Sul. With the feat, she competed in the 64th edition of Miss Universe, held on December 20, 2015, in Las Vegas, USA where she was among the 15 semifinalists. The gaúcha participated in Miss Rio Grande do Sul 2012 where she lost to Miss Brazil 2012 Gabriela Markus. She is the 13th in her state to win the title and the 5th winner in less than ten years. She is also the first blonde in ten years to be named Miss Brazil, the last being Carina Beduschi in 2005. She has worked as a model since the age of 13. Miss Rio Grande do Sul is a Brazilian Beauty pageant which selects the representative for the State of Rio Grande do Sul at the Miss Brazil contest. The pageant was created in 1954 and has been held every year since with the exception of 1990, 1993, and 2020. The pageant is held annually with representation of several municipalities. Since 2023, Bebeto Azevêdo has been the state director of Miss Rio Grande do Sul. Miss Brazil 2015 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2015), officially Miss Brazil Be Emotion 2015 ( pt, Miss Brasil Be Emotion 2015), was the 61st edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 18 November 2015 at Citibank Hall in São Paulo, and was hosted by Cássio Reis and Mariana Weickert. Miss Universe 2015 was the 64th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 20, 2015. This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump on September 14, 2015. Consequently, it is also the first Miss Universe event to be aired by Fox and Azteca as the pageant's respective English and Spanish broadcasters instead of NBC. At the end of the event, Paulina Vega of Colombia crowned Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines as Miss Universe 2015.
