Martha Masters (musician)
Martha Masters (born 23 September 1972) is an American classical guitarist. She won the 2000 Guitar Foundation of America international solo competition. Masters is the President of the Guitar Foundation of America, GFA. She received both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, where she studied with Manuel Barrueco, and completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern California as a student of Scott Tennant. Masters was born in Fairborn, Ohio. She is currently a professor and guitar instructor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, where she also directs the LMU Guitar Ensemble. ''House'' (also called ''House, M.D.'') is an American medical drama television series that originally ran on the Fox network for eight seasons, from November 16, 2004, to May 21, 2012. The series' main character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), an unconventional, misanthropic medical genius who, despite his dependence on pain medication, leads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton–Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The series' premise originated with Paul Attanasio, while David Shore, who is credited as creator, was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character.
