Adam Marsland
Adam Marsland is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the leader of 1990s power pop band Cockeyed Ghost and later for extensive touring and sideman work. He was born in Greene, New York, United States. Music career Cockeyed Ghost (1994-2001) Marsland relocated to Los Angeles and formed punk-flavored powerpop band Cockeyed Ghost in 1994. Along with bands such as The Negro Problem, Baby Lemonade and Wondermints, Marsland and Cockeyed Ghost were part of the popular mid-1990s "pop underground" in Los Angeles and signed to Rykodisc-distributed indie label Big Deal in 1996. The band's debut album ''Keep Yourself Amused'' followed shortly thereafter and was acclaimed by The New York Press as "finest debut album of the rapidly aging year.". Edward Abson Marsland (18 May 1923 – February 1996) was a British academic who served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Birmingham. Marsland received his early education at King Edward's School, Birmingham. Richard Kemble Marsland (5 September 1976 – 6 December 2008) was an Australian comedy writer, actor, comedian and radio personality. Career Radio Marsland started his radio career in Adelaide on the SAFM breakfast show with Greg Fleet, Marty Sheargold and James Brayshaw. Marsland Valley
Marsland Valley is a nature reserve situated in two large valleys which straddle the northern end of the Devon-Cornwall border. It is a designated nature reserve jointly managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust and the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The reserve is a Special Area of Conservation, as well as forming part of two Sites of Special Scientific Interest; Steeple Point to Marsland Mouth on the Cornish side and Marsland to Clovelly Coast in Devon. The valley is situated near the villages of Gooseham and Morwenstow, approximately ten miles north of the Cornish Atlantic Coast resort of Bude. The watercourse along the valley, which discharges directly into the sea, at Marsland Mouth, is called Marsland Water.
