Richard Marsland
Richard Kemble Marsland (5 September 1976 – 6 December 2008) was an Australian comedy writer, actor, comedian and radio personality. Career Radio Marsland started his radio career in Adelaide on the SAFM breakfast show with Greg Fleet, Marty Sheargold and James Brayshaw. He also co-hosted a live, daily morning program AM Adelaide on Channel 7, Adelaide with the multiple- Logie-Award-winning Anne Wills, and then hosted ''The Late Date Show'' nationally with Bessie Bardot on 2DayFM, 92.9 and FoxFM. Previously, he was on '' Tough Love with Mick Molloy'', in its first year (2004). He also appeared regularly on Triple M's '' The Shebang'' with Marty Sheargold and Fifi Box, where he hosted a quiz segment known as "Dick's Box". Find a Grave is a website that allows the public to search and add to an online database of cemetery records. It is owned by Ancestry.com. Its stated mission is "to help people from all over the world work together to find, record and present final disposition information as a virtual cemetery experience." Volunteers can create memorials, upload photos of grave markers or deceased persons, transcribe photos of headstones, and more. , the site claimed more than 210 million memorials. History The site was created in 1995 by Salt Lake City resident Jim Tipton (born in Alma, Michigan) to support his hobby of visiting the burial sites of celebrities. He later added an online forum. Tough Love With Mick Molloy
''ToughLove'' was an Australian comedic radio talk program broadcast from Melbourne through the Triple M network from 12:00PM – 1:00PM AEST in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. It was hosted by long-time Australian comic, Mick Molloy and co-hosted by Robyn Butler and Mick's brother Richard Molloy aka 'Roo'. Panel operator Rosemary Walton was occasionally heard in the background laughing. In its first year (2004) the show ran for two hours (10:00AM – 12:00PM) and was also co-hosted by comedian/actor Alan Brough. During this time, a regular feature of the show was Robyn's fictional characters, including "Mrs. Yi" and "Rosita", however since the timeslot change, these characters appear to have been dropped. Shaun Patrick Micallef (; born 18 July 1962) is an Australian comedian, actor, writer and television presenter. He is currently the host of the satirical news comedy series ''Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell'' on the ABC. He also hosted the game show ''Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation'' on Channel 10. Micallef first gained recognition as a cast member of the sketch comedy show '' Full Frontal'', which led to his own sketch show, ''The Micallef P(r)ogram(me)'', the sitcom ''Welcher & Welcher'' and the variety show ''Micallef Tonight''. ''Newstopia'' (stylised as ''NEWStopiä'') was an Australian half-hour satirical comedy programme hosted by Shaun Micallef. The first series premiered at on SBS TV on 10 October 2007 and concluded on 3 December 2007. A second season began on 27 February 2008. and concluded on 30 April 2008. A third season of the show screened from 1 October to 3 December 2008.. The show was developed by Micallef, Gary McCaffrie, Michael Ward and Jason Stephens, with McCaffrie and Ward working as writers on the programme. A fourth series in 2009 was planned, but cancelled due to production clashes with ''Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation. ''Pete & Myf'' was a Melbourne breakfast show on Triple M. It was broadcast weekdays from 6am - 9am with ''Pete & Myf Re-gifted'' being aired on a Saturday. Hosts of the show are Peter Helliar and Myf Warhurst with Mike Fitzpatrick being anchor of the show in 2009. Richard Marsland was the former host of the show, until his apparent suicide on December 6, 2008. A podcast of the show is available daily and features the best call-in topics, guests and segments of the days show. "Brown Paper Bag" podcasts are updated occasionally featuring exclusive unedited interviews. The show first aired on January 21 (1 week after start of ratings due to Myf's commitments to the ''Spicks and Spectacular''), Richard Marsland joined the show on January 28 doing the paneling and anchoring for the show, despite Myf originally being contracted to panel the show. Tony Moclair (born 4 September 1969 in Cork, Ireland) is an Australian comedy actor, writer, performer and radio broadcaster. Restoring The Balance
Restoring the Balance was a satirical radio segment that occasionally appeared on Australian radio station Triple J, which satirically displayed the contrasting political views between the then conservative Australian Howard government, and the majority of the Left wing government-funded Triple J radio station. The premise of the show suggested that the station was forced by the ABC board to broadcast a segment of right wing political views in order to ''restore the balance''. The creators began by conducting satirical interviews with Australian political identities in 2003. Anthony Francis Martin (born 10 June 1964) is a New Zealand comedian, writer and actor, who has had a successful TV, radio, stand-up and film career in Australia. Career 1980s A former stand-up comedian and commercial voice-over-man, Tony Martin moved to Brisbane, Australia, from New Zealand when he was 21 to work as a radio copywriter. Having worked in radio and amateur theatre back in NZ, Martin approached the ABCTV's ''The D-Generation'' in 1986 to work as a writer only to be told that filming on the first series had been completed. ''Get This'' was an Australian radio comedy show which aired on Triple M and was hosted by Tony Martin and Ed Kavalee, with contributions from panel operator, Richard Marsland. A different guest co-host was featured nearly every day on the show and included music played throughout. On the 15 October 2007 episode, the ''Get This'' team announced that Triple M/Austereo would not be renewing the show for 2008. The final broadcast was on 23 November 2007. During its lifetime and since its cancellation, ''Get This'' developed a strong cult following.
