Marshall, Marshall has a post office with ZIP code 99020. Geography Marshall is south-southwest of downtown Spokane, Washington, Spokane. Marshall lies approximately halfway between Cheney, Washington, Cheney and Spokane on Cheney-Spokane Road. The surrounding area is mostly flat and rocky, as it is part of the Columbia Plateau, but the community itself is located in a half-mile wide valley carved by Marshall Creek. The creek flows north-northeast through the community to Latah Creek and provides the route for Cheney-Spokane Road between Marshall and Spokane. Columbia Plateau
The Columbia Plateau is a geologic and geographic region that lies across parts of the U.S. states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It is a wide flood basalt plateau between the Cascade Range and the Rocky Mountains, cut through by the Columbia River. The Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway (SP&S) was a railroad in the northwest United States. The Spokane Intermodal Center is an intermodal transport facility located in Spokane, Washington, United States. It serves as a service stop for the Amtrak ''Empire Builder'', as well as the Greyhound, Trailways, and Jefferson Lines station for Spokane. The ''Empire Builder'' is an Amtrak long-distance passenger train that operates daily between Chicago and either Seattle or Portland via two sections west of Spokane.
